Canadian Federal Entrepreneur Visa or Startup visa Success rate at Hong Kong

Good day ladies and gentlemen, this is IRC news and I am Joy Stephen, an authorized Canadian Immigration practitioner bringing out this Data Analysis release from the Polinsys studios in Cambridge, Ontario. Today is the 25th of March, 2022.

Today we are going to talk about the total Visa applications processed through the Federal Entrepreneur Program in Hong Kong and the success rate of the program from the Canadian Visa Post in Hong Kong. The data we will be analyzing is for the year of 2019, 2020 and 2021.

Hong Kong has a good success rate trajectory with the Federal Entrepreneur Program also called the Startup visa and in 2019, Hong Kong has accepted 426 applications with a success rate of 47%. In 2020, Hong Kong processed 129 applications, and had a success rate of 62% and last year, in 2021 Hong Kong accepted 29 applications and had a success rate of around 66%. This program has been impacted by the Global Pandemic and travel restrictions to Canada.

Talking about the Trajectory, Hong Kong has been almost on a upward trend across the 3 years and has been doing well in this program considering many other countries. The Startup visa or the Federal entrepreneur program historically has a low success rate because the program is probably being used as an entry to Canada without any innovation component.
