Good day ladies and gentlemen, this is IRC news, and I am Joy Stephen, an authorized Canadian Immigration practitioner bringing out Data analysis release. This data release is for Canadian Provinces where International students are heading to for Study Permit applications for 2018, 2019 and 2020 for Citizens of  Bangladesh. This data may be vital for students to understand the destination of students based on their nationality when applying for study in Canada. The total applications and the success rates are provided in separate videos.  Today is the 15/03/2023, and I am coming to you from the Polinsys studios in Cambridge, Ontario. 
 
On my screen, you will see the name of the province and the total number of applications with success rate for that province. 
 
Alberta: 

  • 2018: Total Applications: 8 
  • 2019: Total Applications:  9 
  • 2020: Total Applications: 2 
  • Average Applications/Year: 6       Average Success Rate (3 years): 67 

 
British Columbia: 

  • 2018: Total Applications: 39 
  • 2019: Total Applications: 13 
  • 2020: Total Applications: 9 
  • Average Applications/Year:20Average Success Rate (3 years): 75 

 
Manitoba: 

  • 2018: Total Applications: 18 
  • 2019: Total Applications: 4 
  • 2020: Total Applications: 7 
  • Average Applications/Year: 10     Average Success Rate (3 years): 40 

 
New Brunswick: 

  • 2018: Total Applications: 1 
  • 2019: Total Applications: 3 
  • 2020: Total Applications: 0 
  • Average Applications/Year: 1       Average Success Rate: 100 

 
Newfoundland: 

  • 2018: Total Applications: 6 
  • 2019: Total Applications: 5

Quebec: 

  • 2018: Total Applications: 16 
  • 2019: Total Applications: 8

Saskatchewan: 

  • 2018: Total Applications: 9 
  • 2019: Total Applications:  10 
  • 2020: Total Applications: 0

When it comes to the top Province for study permit applications for Citizens from Bangladesh based on the number applied for, the province of 47 tops them all. If a province has very few student intakes, it could also signal an opportunity right? 
 
Please keep in mind that the years we are discussing data in this release is the pandemic years with travel and other restrictions. The figures may not represent the popularity of the course or destination. IRCnews will be releasing newer data for 2021 and 2022 shortly.
