This data is about NOC Work Permit Overall for the past 15 years. This class of work permit is issued by the Canadian Government if selected by a Canadian Employer for a position in Canada. This important data will give you some understanding on the number of people being selected by employers and the work permit processed every year since 2006. 
 
In 2006, the total number of Work Permit issued was 61,961 
 
In 2007, the total number of Work Permit issued was 61 
 
In 2008, the total number of Work Permit issued was 90,458 
 
In 2009, the total number of Work Permit issued was 75,491 
 
In 2010, the total number of Work Permit issued was 73,976 
 
In 2011, the total number of Work Permit issued was 75,504 
 
In 2012, the total number of Work Permit issued was 85,665 
 
In 2013, the total number of Work Permit issued was 86,219 
 
In 2014, the total number of Work Permit issued was 86,365 
 
In 2015, the total number of Work Permit issued was 112,021 
 
In 2016, the total number of Work Permit issued was 130,726 
 
In 2017, the total number of Work Permit issued was 141,351 
 
In 2018, the total number of Work Permit issued was 155,465 
 
In 2019, the total number of Work Permit issued was 180,473 
 
In 2020, the total number of Work Permit issued was 100,844 
 
The Average for the 15 years was 97,105, and the trajectory of growth compared to 2006 and 2020 is a growth of 61%, 2010 and 2020 is 73.356868033795% and 2015 and 2020 is 111.08345563445%. The comparative trajectory % would have been a lot higher if 2020 was not a pandemic year.
