Alberta – Aviation is reaching new heights in Alberta, released by Alberta on 08 September 2025
Good day ladies and gentlemen, this is IRC News. I am Joy Stephen, a certified Canadian Immigration Practitioner, bringing you this Provincial News Bulletin from the province of Alberta. This recording originates from the Polinsys studios in Cambridge, Ontario.
Aviation is reaching new heights in Alberta. Funding from Alberta’s government will solidify Calgary as a global aviation hub, create jobs, attract investment and boost the economy.
Alberta is a national leader in aviation, with bold investments and strategic partnerships driving growth and innovation across the province’s aerospace sector. To support further growth in the aviation sector, Alberta’s government is providing more than $21 million to help develop Calgary Airport’s YYC AeroNex project.
This project will help develop the infrastructure needed to attract major investment at Calgary International Airport, creating jobs, expanding opportunities for skilled workers and strengthening Alberta’s aviation industry. In partnership with Alberta’s government, YYC AeroNex is attracting world-class support services and training to the sector through long-term strategies.
