On 2026-10-28, Government of Yukon said 151.9 km of BST road work was completed in 2026, nearly double 2025, on highways and in Watson Lake, Mayo, Carmacks.

Yukon doubled 2026 road resurfacing to nearly 152 km on key highways and in Watson Lake, Mayo and Carmacks. Safer, smoother travel supports newcomers, students, workers, employers and families, with 2027 planning for added seasonal staff.
