Today is the 5th of Feb, 2022. Quebec: Quebec immigration has conducted a new draw through the Arrima Expression of Interest system, issuing invitations to 306 Canada immigration candidates. Saskatchewan launched the new Tech Talent Pathway under the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) to attract tech workers into the province This new stream will facilitate and expedite the immigration process for tech workers already working in Saskatchewan, as well as those who have been recruited outside Canada. Manitoba Special Immigration Measure* – Ukraine – March 9, 2022 Numbers of Letters of Advice to Apply issued: 71 *As part of Manitoba government’s response to the situation in Ukraine and in line with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada special immigration measures for those affected, the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program will conduct regular EOI draws for individuals who meet all MPNP eligibility criteria and are affected by ongoing events in Ukraine. Note: Expressions of Interest have only been considered if you: are a citizen of Ukraine have a minimum of CLB 4 in each language band have established connection to MB (close relative, family-like, community, previous employment or studies in Manitoba) have a valid language test score at least 60 points according to MPNP assessment criteria British Columbia On March 8, BC issued total invitations of 204. Skilled Immigration – Skilled worker : 240 EEBC – Skilled Worker : 256 ITAs issued to NOC 0621 and 0631 only March 10, 2022 Healthcare workers, ECEs the focus of changes to BC PNP On March 10, 2022, the Ministry of Municipal Affairs announced that B.C. is responding to the crucial need for more healthcare workers and early childhood educators (ECEs) by implementing changes to the BC Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) Skills Immigration stream to prioritize these occupations and increase support for the care economy. Key changes, effective March 10, 2022, include: Targeted invitations to apply will give priority access to select occupations in the care economy, specifically registrants whose occupation is on a pre-determined list of in-demand health occupations as well as early childhood educators. Healthcare assistants and dental assistants have been added to the Entry Level and Semi-Skilled category as eligible occupations. Targeted invitations to apply (priority access) replaces the registration points awarded for high demand occupations in the Labour Market Outlook. Periodic general draws will be conducted for other skilled and semi-skilled workers who meet program criteria. Invitations to apply can be based on various factors that support B.C. government priorities. The Health Care Professional category has been replaced with the Health Authority category and is open to all occupations employed by a health authority. An overview of Strategic Priorities & Initiatives has been added to the website. There are no changes to BC PNP Tech. Workers in management occupations (grouped under Skill Type 0 in the NOC) may only register/apply under Skilled Worker categories; management occupations are not eligible under the International Graduates categories. The requirement of two years directly related experience under the Skilled Worker category is replaced with two years of skilled experience. Employer requirements are updated with new or clarified conditions.
